How Can We Help You?

Below are some general information regarding our main services. If you need more details, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Waste Classification

Identifies and classifies the excavated soils prior to disposal.

The Victorian EPA published the Industrial Waste Resource Guidelines (IWRG) to guide all waste producers, managers, transporters and disposal facilities. Most Civil Contractors who are involved in the excavation of soils must follow the IWRG in order to avoid any environmental impacts and also hefty fines. Prism Environmental has helped numerous clients in identifying and classifying excavated soils prior to disposal. Remediation has been done in some instances to minimise impacts and eventual re-classification of contaminated soils. This has saved them thousands of dollars as they effectively manage the soils and satisfy regulations at the same time.

Site Investigations

Contaminated Land and Groundwater Assessments

The NEPM 2013 was published to guide the environmental investigations of properties, whether brownfield or greenfield sites, together with EPA regulations and Council Development Plans. Prism Environmental already assisted dozens of private land owners and property managers and developers meet their environmental requirements. Regulators may require either of the following: a Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI), a Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) or Remedation Action Plan (RAP). They may also require Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) or Groundwater Monitoring Events (GMEs) in some instance. Prism Environmental is also capable of conducting Asbestos Surveys and has prepared Asbestos Management Plans if you require peace of mind.

Consulting and Auditing

Environmental Due Diligence and Management Systems Audit

Various organisations have realised the value of improved business systems and positive turnovers by applying an Integrated Management Systems (IMS) within their business. An IMS usually include the Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (1SO 14001) and OHS (AS4801) Management Systems. These systems provide a tried-and-tested business framework that benefits the company through process improvements, increasing efficiency and satisfying legal obligations. Prism Environmental have conducted gap analysis and assisted several companies to achieve certification.
